Garden State Harmonica Club

About Us

Founded in 1971 by George Osterman, a local musician, the Garden State Harmonica Club is one of the nation's leading harmonica organizations, providing a gathering place for those who share the enjoyment of this unique and beautiful instrument... the beloved "mouth organ". The membership is drawn from a wide geographic area (even out of state), and includes beginning players, professionals, former professionals, and others who attend simply to hear the great sounds of which the instrument is capable. The club also supports a Harmonica Ensemble which performs frequently throughout the area, providing entertainment for various local organizations.

We host a June picnic in Van Saun Park, Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ at which members perform in an informal outdoor setting for themselves and anyone of the public who chooses to listen.  For the exact date of the picnic, e-mail us. We have also held a Festival and Dinner annually every autumn since 1971.
